Uplifting Your Monday - One Feather at a Time

(With apologies to Steve Miller)

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Oh, lord, through the revolution

Feeding the ducks

I agree with Spence on this one - there is something poetic about doing our first major event about birds. It was either this or "Make Way for Ducklings".

For Serious (Seriously!)

So Spence and I have an opportunity to go legit(ish). This is a big step, artistically. Contractual obligation is one of the best driving forces for art. (Hunger is a close second.)

With that said, we certainly can't do it alone. No matter how legit you think you are (or want to be,) feel free to submit work, to nominate yourself to direct, or to break a leg as an actor.

A big part of this company's ethos is the emphasis on "open & accessible," so don't be bashful - stand up and take part.

On another note, this blog is currently a catch-all for FtB info; I'd love to hear from you as to what you want to see here - blindly unfunny ruminations like my earlier post? Blow-by-blow "director's commentary" on our trials and travails? Calls for submissions/publicity/actors/etc.? Pictures of birds?

You tell me.

Nate

PS: Apparently it's "hip" to have a signature to define...something (you? your mood? life lessons?) Regardless, I'll get to work on coming up with a couple of suitably pretentious lines.
